Compagnie Käfig

Pixel

Duration 70 min

A grid of dots shatters into a flurry of snow; a wave suddenly rises up from the floor: in “Pixel” eleven dancers move in a digital cosmos. Their bodies control the projections, but they are also part of the illusion. Mourad Merzouki always transitions between various disciplines. With his company Käfig he creates choreographies that combine hip-hop, contemporary dance and circus. For “Pixel” he has collaborated for the first time with the digital artists Adrien Mondot and Claire Bardainne to unite dance and video art in a playfully virtuosic dream.
