Bruno Beltrão / Grupo de Rua

INOAH

Duration 50 min

Bruno Beltrão is well known for his dance deconstructions of hip-hop: his powerful choreographies combine street dance, break-dance and hip-hop with contemporary dance. In “INOAH” he refers to the political situation in his home country of Brazil: against the background of the corruption scandal, Beltrão asks how we are connected to our environment and how we are influenced by events and ideologies. Ten dancers from his company, Grupo de Rua, look at these interdependencies in pulsating encounters between aggression and excess, confrontation and community.
