The newly renovated WAU opened its doors again at the start of the festival. After a long dry spell, HAU once again has a restaurant with a lunch table, which forms the heart of the festival centre. This is where artists, audiences and dance experts met during the day – until at least two hours after the events have finished, the kitchen was open until 23:00. HAU2 was also home to the festival box office and of the Tanz im August Kiosk. Outside, the deckchairs were unfolded, and on the weekends there was a lively hustle and bustle until late into the night.
This is also where our festival parties took place, because what would a dance festival be without the opportunity to dance together?
