The Pre-sale for the first four programme highlights of the 37th edition of Tanz im August is live!
Book your tickets for the first four productions of this year's festival now: “Jungle 정글” by Korea National Contemporary Dance Company / Kim Sungyong, “Trailer Park” by tanzmainz / Moritz Ostruschnjak, “Borda” by Lia Rodrigues Companhia de Danças and “Some Thing Folk” by Cullberg / Ligia Lewis.
Tanz im August takes place this year from 13.–30.8.2025.
After the proposal was unanimously welcomed by the Supervisory Board, Annemie Vanackere, artistic director and managing director of HAU Hebbel Ufer, and Ricardo Carmona have extended the existing contract, which appoints Carmona as Artistic Director of the International Festival Tanz im August, until 2027.
Ricardo Carmona says about his extension:
"It was a great honor to take over the artistic direction of Tanz im August, such a renowned and historic festival, in 2023. Its program has always been characterized by a great openness, it was important to me to maintain this. In view of the current multiple crises, I believe it is essential to create spaces in which different transcultural perspectives can be seen and discussed. I am very pleased to be able to continue this for another two years and grateful for the trust have placed in me.”

In the last two years, we invited festival artists to take part in an intimate discussion format that provides insights into their lives and work. The podcast will continue in 2025, so look forward to new episodes!
