Tanz im August 2026: This Was Week Three

It’s hard to believe: the third and final week of the festival is now behind us, featuring two wonderful premieres, two German premieres, 17 performances, fascinating artist talks and a fantastic festival closing party.

Last Saturday, 29th of August, marked the end of the 38th edition of the International Festival Tanz im August. This year’s festival presented dance as a political force that generates interaction and impact and turned Berlin once again into a vibrant meeting place, a space for aesthetic experimentation and social exchange.
