Dear audience,
the second week of the 38th edition of Tanz im August is now behind us – and we are thrilled by two further German premieres, 18 performances, great artist talks and yet another wonderful festival party.
In total, this year’s festival, running from 13 to 29 August 2026,
will present 19 productions at 11 venues – including 3 world premieres, 6 German premieres and 4 Berlin and international co-productions.
Here’s what you can expect in the festival’s third week: The premiere of “Phoenix. Sun” by Kasia Wolińska at St. Elisabeth-Kirche, the German premiere of Mélissa Guex’s work “DOWN (full album)” at Berlinische Galerie, the premiere of “Bat Dances” by Kareth Schaffer and Jonas Hauerat HAU3, the German premiere of “Bruits Marrons” by Calixto Neto at HAU2, “MASTERWORK OF SIX DANCERS” by Emese Cuhorka and Csaba Molnár with the En-Knap company at HAU1, as well as (for the fourth time as part of the festival) Outbox Movement with the “Outbox Me Battle x Tanz im August” at Tempelhofer Feld. We’re also inviting you to this year’s festival closing party with JADA at our Festival Centre.
