Uzrukki Schmidt

Uzrukki Schmidt or also Julia*n Meding is a performance artist, theatre maker and musician who lives in Berlin. They studied cultural studies and aesthetic practice in Hildesheim and work on body politics, traumata and the use of language. At the moment they are touring with the fake recital “An Tagen wie diesen wünscht man sich Befindlichkeit“ by the collective meding/scheer/tibbe. Other collaborators include the Berlin musician and artist Tanno Pippi and the Munich director and performer Anta Helena Recke. In 2017 Meding, in collaboration with Jasper Tibbe, created a staged examination of the opera Tristan und Isolde by Richard Wagner with regard to its fascist components.
