Stéphane Bauer

Stéphane Bauer was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine/France in 1962. He studied sociology, political science, political economy and psychology in Bonn and Berlin. From 1990 to 2001 he was managing director of the Kunstamt Krezuberg. Since 1997 he has curated exhibitions at the Kunstamt Kreuzberg, at the Neue Gesellschaft für Bildende Kunst e.V. and at Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien. His projects have taken his to many countries for lectures, exhibitions and workshops including Ghana, Serbia, Belgium, the USA, Turkey, Israel, Egypt, Spain, France, the Czech Republic, the Palestinian Territories, Brazil, Japan and Poland, as well as various German cities. Since 2002 Bauer has been director of the Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien.
