The Solistenensemble Kaleidoskop, founded in Berlin in 2006, has dedicated itself since its inception to the development of new forms of experimental music theater. The members of the ensemble have evolved from purely instrumentalists to musical performers and co-authors of collaborative productions. Kaleidoskop views music theater as a place of encounter and community, as well as a space that has the power to imagine alternative futures. With its explicitly interdisciplinary and collaborative approach, the ensemble repeatedly collaborates with artists from different genres and cultural backgrounds. In recent years, it has worked with artists such as Laurent Chétouane, Susanne Kennedy, Isabel Lewis, Pol Pi, Ariel Efraim Ashbel, Black Cracker, Anika, Maya Dunietz, Ethan Braun, Wojtek Blecharz, Adam Linder, Annika Kahrs, the Dance On Ensemble, and the EnsembleWhatWhyArt (Seoul). The ensemble has been featured at festivals such as the Ruhrtriennale, the Wiener Festwochen, and the Holland Festival, as well as at venues like deSingel, Concertgebouw Brugge, and Kampnagel in Hamburg. In Berlin, the ensemble has been collaborating regularly with Radialsystem since 2008.
