Simona Deaconescu

Simona Deaconescu, based in Bucharest, works across performance, installation, and speculative research, creating hypnotic choreographic landscapes shaped by feminist thought, micro-political gesture, and the sensation of existing between realities. Her works have been presented internationally across Europe, as well as in Mexico and Canada. Through Tangaj Collective, she creates a space for interdisciplinary experimentation and co-creation.

For "The Choreography of Water", she collaborates with Berlin-based artist Ioana Vreme Moser, recipient of two Prix Ars Electronica awards in 2025, whose fluid sculptural systems merge electronics, matter, and sound, and with sound artist Simina Oprescu, whose acousmatic compositions and data-driven sonic environments reveal hidden dimensions of physical processes.
