Madalba

Madalba is a Berlin-based DJ from Italy. From a very young age, her musical interests moved across a broad spectrum, going from house and dance music to rock and punk, leading her finally to techno and club-culture. After starting her DJ-career with numerous performances in the local club circuit of Bari, she later moved to Berlin and started DJing with vinyls only in clubs such as Tresor, About Blank, SchwuZ or SO36. In 2011, she went to Detroit where she started a collaboration with DJ Seoul, Tom and Angie Linder of Detroit Techno Militia. This journey radically changed her approach to techno, which she now considers a political and social phenomenon and a lifestyle rather than just a musical genre. From 2012 till 2016 she was resident DJ of the “Homopatik” nights. From 2014 on she released her own vinyls on DTM (Detroit Techno Militia) and Arkita Records, the label that she ran together with Synkopheit until 2016. In May 2017 she launched her own record label Future Déjà Vu and started her new parallel house project. Currently, she is resident DJ and co-organizer of the “Buttons” night in About Blank.
