Ethan Braun studied composition with David Lang at the Yale School of Music. Braun's works, which are drawn to harmony and counterpoint, are polyphonic and expressionistic integrations of live instruments and electronic media. Braun's concert music has been commissioned and performed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Carnegie Hall, the Dutch National Opera, and Roulette Intermedium. He frequently collaborates with artists, choreographers, and directors, presenting these projects at institutions such as LUMA Arles, Schinkel Pavillon, and Kölnischer Kunstverein. Upcoming projects include an exhibition with the design studio HIT at Artspace Aotearoa in Auckland, NZ, and a collaboration with Gob Squad at the Burgtheater Vienna and Volksbühne Berlin.
