CapriConnection
CapriConnection was founded in 2006 in Basel by the director Anna-Sophie Mahler and the actresses Susanne Abelein and Rahel Hubacher. Since then the dramaturge and producer Boris Brüderlin has also become part of the core of the group. In recent years they have developed a staging practice together that vibrantly uses theatre and music to approach documentary research and interview material. The starting material is not only examined in relation to its contents, but also to its formal and rhythmic qualities, then interwoven into dense compositions. In 2010 HAU Hebbel am Ufer showed the co-production “Ars moriendi”, which was created in collaboration with the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Recently the co-producion “Der Urknall oder die Suche dem Gottesteilchen” could be seen at HAU. In the context of the 2013 Festspiele Zürich, CapriConnection developed the music theatre production “Tristan oder Isolde” in sections of the original set from the Bayreuth staging of director Christoph Marthaler.
