Bibiana Beglau

From the beginning of her career, Bibiana Beglau has been working with directors who have influenced contemporary theatre and film. She has often  acted under the direction of Einar Schleef, Frank Castorf, Martin Kušej and Dimiter Gotscheff at all of the important stages in the German-speaking world. She was invited to the Theatertreffen in 2014 with Gotscheff’s staging of Heiner Müller’s “Cement”. Bibiana Beglau has won numerous awards for her extraordinary achievements, including the Silver Bear at the Berlinale, the Ulrich Wildgruber Preis, the Adolf Grimme Preis as well as “Actress of the Year” in 2014 from Theater heute and the theatre prize DER FAUST in 2015. Bibiana Beglau is a member of the Academy of the Arts Berlin and the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts.
