The multiple crises of our time are constantly making it clear how much our present is determined by interdependence, how we humans are reliant on each other and on our environment. This year’s programme of Tanz im August will show how heterogeneous this can look and sound between 9.-26. August.

The festival follows its ever-evolving tradition and expands it with many new ideas and perspectives under the new artistic direction of Ricardo Carmona. You can expect 19 productions at 11 venues throughout Berlin  – among them 5 premieres, 6 German premieres, 8 Berlin and international co-productions and one commissined project with 22 Berliner artists.
