Every year the festival artists select three books that are important to their work and their way of thinking. Over the last five years, the collection has grown with each edition and it now features almost 500 books. From 2016 to 2020, from Kyle Abraham to Arkadi Zaides, from Agamben to Zumthor, from Sylvia Nasar's “A Beautiful Mind” to Frank Reza Link’s “Between Flamenco and Charleston”, the Bibliothek im August’s collection features an exciting mix of both non-fiction and fiction. An overview of the books chosen by the festival’s artists, listed in chronological order, is available for download.
