Frédérick Gravel

Choreographer, dancer, musician and lighting designer Frédérick Gravel has been active in the Montreal scene for fifteen years. He turns the structures of choreography upside down and integrates various elements of rock music and performance art into his work. His work has been received on many stages in North America, Europe, as well as in Southeast Asia. Frédérick Gravel’s works are created in close collaboration with all the members of Grouped’ArtGravelArt- Group/GAG, a changing collective of dancers and musicians who are actively involved in the creative process. Frédérick Gravel regularly gives creative workshops and also teaches at the theater department of CÉGEP Saint-Hyacinthe, at the Université du Québec à Montréal and at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal. He joined DLD-Daniel Léveillé danse as an associate creator in 2010 and was appointed artistic director of the company in 2018, now referred to by the acronym DLD to underscore this important change.
