After creating two large scale productions for Cullberg the past years, choreographer Jefta van Dinther returns to HAU with a new piece for the dance company. In the archaic-futuristic work “On Earth I’m Done: Mountains” the audience is transported to a place torn out of the conventional space-time continuum. Mountains symbolise permanence and stability, and are seen as a gateway to transcendence. As human beings, we are perpetually haunted by our own implication in the nature-culture bind. This new solo performed by Marco da Silva Ferreira and accompanied by the music of David Kiers, is a tale of creation and raises questions about what it means to be human, what it is to exist on and care for this perpetually transformative planet. With “Mountains”, Jefta van Dinther continues his work that is distinguished by an acute focus on the body and its interaction with light, sound and environment.
Due to an extensive PCR testing regime for SARS-CoV-2, the performers can also move on stage in this production without minimum distance.
There are two marked parking spots in front of the building. Barrier-free restroom facilities are available. Four relaxed seats are available in the first row of HAU2.
