Big Pulse Open Air Commissions – Shortlist Announcement

As one of the Big Pulse Dance Alliance partners, we're delighted to announce the eight projects shortlisted for the first Big Pulse Open Air Commissions.
These projects were selected through an open call process, with 258 applications being received from more than 30 countries.
Each shortlisted artist / artistic team will be awarded €1500 Development Support to further develop their proposal in a second stage of the selection process. The 8 projects, including artists from 12 different countries, are:
- ALIEN – Taneli Törmä / LOCATION X (Finland / Denmark)
- BOSQUE / WOODS – Clarice Lima, Catarina Saraiva, Aline Bonamim & Nina Fajdiga (Brazil / Portugal / Slovenia)
- CITY HORSES – Byström Källblad (Sweden)
- MONSTER – Janina Rajakangas (Finland / United Kingdom)
- MOTUS MORI: RITUALS – Katja Heitmann (Germany / Netherlands)
- SAMKOME – Mia Habib / Mia Habib Productions (Norway)
- ALL ANIMALS – Fabrizio Favale / Le Supplici (Italy)
- THE LION`S DEN UNLIMITED – Sabina Bočková & Johana Pocková / POCKETART (Czech Republic)
These projects are currently participating in the second phase of the selection process. The projects selected as final commissioned works will be announced on 20 May 2021.
A new open call for Big Pulse Open Air Commissions is scheduled in 2022/23.
