Lucinda Childs

Lucinda Childs’ career began in 1963 with the Judson Dance Theater in New York, for which she was active both as a choreographer and as a performer for Yvonne Rainer, Steve Paxton and Robert Morris. In 1973 she founded her own company, with which she has produced over fifty works since then. In 1976 she collaborated as dancer and choreographer with Robert Wilson and Philip Glass on the opera “Einstein on the Beach” in New York. Her artistic works have been awarded numerous prizes. Lucinda Childs gave guest performances at Tanz im August in 1995 and 2015.
