Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker

Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker studied dance at the Mudra School in Brussels and the Tisch School of the Arts in New York. Her debut, “Fase, Four Movements to the Music of Steve Reich”, shot her to international fame in 1982. Since then she has created an impressive choreographic oeuvre with her company Rosas. Rosas’ dance is written movement in space and time, in which the relationship between movement and music is central. Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker has been to Tanz im August several times, most recently in 2007 with a “Steve Reich Evening”.
