The Norwegian choreographer, director and dramatist Alan Lucien Øyen founded the company winter guests in 2006, bringing together a multidisciplinary group of actors, dancers, authors, stage designers and technicians to show English-language productions worldwide. Whether theatre, dance or film, Øyen’s works are highly emotional and dramatic. His choreographic language is complex and technically challenging. Øyen has received various awards for both his theatre pieces and his choreographies. His six-hour work “Coelacanth” (co-author: Andrew Wale) won the prestigious Hedda Award.
